Secret talks surrounding the West Coast Saints’ new coach

The BC Footy rumour mill has been sent into a frenzy following secret talks surrounding the West Coast Saints’ new coach. Club president David Miller has reportedly approached former player Peter Fadelli about a playing coach role in 2010, via an Internet Web Conference direct to Australia. But it is believed negotiations stalled over the salary package. Sources said the Saints could not match Fadelli’s expectations due to the pressure of keeping the 2009 premiership group under the salary cap.

The new coach will be announced at the Australia Day game on January 23.
